Ashrel (“we”, “us”) is an Australian permanent-search practice for AI and machine learning roles. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Through this website we only collect what you choose to send us:

This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party cookies. We do not build a profile of your browsing.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, to run a search you have engaged us for, and, if you subscribed, to send you the salary brief. We do not sell personal information, and we do not add enquiry contacts to a marketing list without being asked to.

Candidate information

Candidate records are not collected through this website. Where we hold candidate information as part of a search, we collect it directly from the candidate with their knowledge, use it only to represent them for roles they have agreed to be represented for, and disclose it to a client only with the candidate’s consent.

Who we share it with

We use third-party service providers to operate this site and to receive form submissions and email. Those providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside Australia. We do not otherwise disclose your information to anyone without your consent, unless we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and search records for as long as we have a working relationship with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or stop sending you the salary brief. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
